This was a quick and fun project to work on. Mediatemple (through their CD) commissioned me to make a bunch of illustrations for their 4 Dollar Domain promo (in celebration of the 4th of July). The brief was to create different versions of Dan (the character name, not me) in connection to the different quirky domains they made.

In terms of the character design, I initially designed Dan to have a “brainstorm hat”. In the sketches and initial comps it seemed to work, but when I was doing the final illustration we found out that it, well… didn’t work. :( Hehehe. The sketches and initial comp is the 2nd and 3rd image up top. :) Yey. Hope you guys like it!
PS. I also did the Otto illustration.
