Philippine as a Menagerie
Illustration for magazine article. The article was about the major islands in the Philippines as animals /objects. The focus of the article though was Mindanao. :)
Enjoy.

Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana)
It was the worst typhoon that we’ve ever had (here in the Philippines) in recent years. The flood was the worst I’ve seen in my lifetime. :( Here are some of the photos I took… that’s what happened here in Katipunan. But it was worse in other places… If you have time peeps, kindly donate… Ferdinand has a list of places where you can donate: HERE.
The. Best. Button. Ever. Thats what Swiss Miss said. And I Agree.
Weird Musicals
I was commissioned by Wired Magazine(Italy) to illustrate one of the articles in the October Issue. The topic was about Weird Musicals.
The idea I had was to put the characters in a cinematic situation…so i thought why not put them in an electric line at dusk. The electrical line evolved into a musical line complete with notes and a clef. The musicals in the article were American Idiot, Nerds, Das Kapital, Star Wars & Imelda Marcos.
Oneline Private Beta
Oneline will be open for Private BETA later today. We’re going introducing the whole concept at the Starbucks Dialogues, Starbucks 6750, 3PM. See you there. :)
Self Portrait
A self portrait I made for a magazine feature in Nov. :D That’s me: Science+Tech+Design!

Here’s my presentation at the Pecha Kucha Night Manila in Boracay. :) To view the other presentations click here.
‘Bye Boracay, Hello Manila
Just got back from Boracay for Pecha Kucha Manila and vacation. :) It was fun especially the last night… we tried the infamous “F*ck You Archie” drink which kind of knocked us out. Surprisingly, i was the only one who “survived”. :D I wont be sharing the pictures of that ofcourse. haha.
Tools for Ideation
Creating Minds listed these tools for creating ideas by your self or with a group. :) A lot of the stuff there are really useful and helpful. I created my own idea process thingie a year ago (I think). I called Stormcatcher (The image on this post).
The Stormcathcher process is divided into 4 parts: BRIEF (where you put the keywords of the brief), WORDPLAY (Ideas based on keywords), STROKES (sketches or scamps), you then sift all of these ideas into the 6 FOLDERS at the bottom of the page. The Stormcatcher is in no way scientific, it’s just how i work so I decided to make a pad for it. Cheers!
